Grant and others, I'm glad this is getting some attention. Both sides of S. Park Street need some attention. Back in March, 2012 I reported my concerns about the lack of bike lane on the southbound stretch of S. Park Street from Emerald Street to Fish Hatch. I didn't ever get a response from the city. My previous comments are pasted below.
-india *Bikeway Information* Date of Request: 03/22/2012 Request Type: Signing and Marking Location Type: Address On Street Location: South Park Street Nearest Cross Street: Emerald Street Other Location Details: South Park Street heading south from Emerald St. to Fish Hatchery Road and beyond. Problem Description: There used to be a bike lane on South Park Street (southbound) that continued at least as far as Fish Hatchery Road. At some point it was removed during construction and has not been added back. There is a just a sign saying, "Bike Lane Ends" at S. Park St. & Emerald St. This makes it treacherous to bike on S. Park Street in order to use it as a transportation corridor or to access the many retail and service businesses on this important stretch of Park Street. Have you reported this issue before?: No Should we contact you with the resolution?
