Who’s Invited? First and foremost – You are INVITED! You bring skills, 
expertise, and willing­ness to make your building, block, or neighborhood a 
place where people want to stay. So, come join us for the one-half day program. 
Better yet – bring a few neighbors with you to build a community.

When? Saturday, October 7th, 2017. Doors open at 8am. Program starts at 9am 
with the Mayor. Workshops from 10-noon.

The 2017 Mayor's Neighborhood Roundtable will take place at Monona Terrace 
Community and Convention Center on Saturday, October 7th from 8am until noon. 
Everyone is welcome to this free event. If you know of someone who wants to be 
more active in their neighborhood, meet community leaders, city officials and 
staff, and community organizations, or simply would like to get to know how the 
City of Madison or other organizations could better serve your community, 
please come and bring others to this event! There will be various workshops, 
networking opportunities and more.



·        City's Update – Violence, Trauma, Resilience, and Actions

·        Using Racial Equity Tools and Data in Neighborhood Decision-Making

·        Housing Trends, Challenges, and Solutions

·        Spot Light – Be Inspired by Neighborhood Works

·        Art + Social Practice – A Catalyst for Uniting and Changing

·        Working Effectively with Alders and Staff

·        Community Conversations – Parks, Streets, Transit, Safety and more!



Why come? We need to work together to make our neighborhoods great places to 
live for all. Come share your skills, challenges, and ideas with others that 
are making their neighborhoods better too. There will be free childcare and 
language assistance onsite (ASL, Hmong, Mandarin and Spanish). Other languages 
upon request.
