The lesson learned? GPA means nothing, especially if they're coming from different institutions.
There's no strong correlations between salary and GPA, and probably with everything else as well. There's always an outlier where you got high salary regardless of your GPA (or degree, or whatnot). Another lesson learned, life is not fair. It's better to be lucky than good.
