As reported by Terry Osborne yesterday, there were at least two Lapland
Longspurs mixed in with the Horned Larks and Snow Buntings on Heritage Road.
They were easily viewed at 4-5:00 within 20 feet from the road with
binoculars from our car. Did'nt even get the scope out.

The manure is a little covered by blowing snow, but the birds are working it
hard. One of the Longspurs had stronger markings than the other two I
believe I saw within seconds of each.

Directions: from the 401 go north on Mississauga
Rd. past hwy 7, left (west) on Mayfield Rd., then rigtht (north) on Heritage
Rd., for just a little over a km. The field with the manure is on the west
side.
