A Red-throated Loon was sighted in the ferry channel enroute to Prince Edward Point from Kingston Tuesday. The loon was seen at close range in the narrow channel in the ice both on the 11:15 a.m. crossing and again on our return on the 2:00 p.m. ferry. Other sightings on the way to Prince Edward Point included several Eastern Bluebirds, one Turkey Vulture, one Northern Shrike, several Killdeer and Common Grackles, along with other common migrating species.
