Everyone Currently delivery times for Ontbirds messages has been slower than usual. There have been delays up to 3 hours from receipt of messages by our software. Technical support has been alerted of the situation.
It is problably a good time to remind everyone that the internet is far from perfect (SPAM, viruses etc). When you have a very good bird that you want others to hear of remember, in addtion to Ontbirds, a phone to friends and the local bird alert will help ensure your message gets out. Winds were moderate to strong out of the east. Heavier clouds began to build up during the mid afternoon as drizzle and showers moved into the area. Observations: The flight was spread over a broad front, which always makes counting a bit of a challenge. The vulture groups at times were crossing well to the south over the lake while other groups made the crossing to the north. All this while there was still movement directly over the count area. Highlighting the day was an excellent flight of Red-shoulders, particularly early in the day with quite a few being tallied before the first Red-tail made its appearance. A single American White Pelican, seen early in the morning and again in mid afternoon, provided a non-raptor highlight. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/
