Just thought I would update folks on birds seen at Van Wagner's Beach today in case some have time to get out in these excellent NE wind conditions.
Birds seen today Northern Gannet (seen by Dan Salisbury this a.m.) Black-legged Kittiwake Parasitic Jaeger Pomarine Jaeger Bonaparte's Gull Little Gull (spotted by Mark Jennings) Common Loon Red-throated Loon possible Phalarope sp. At one point just shortly before I arrived a flock of about 8 jaegers came up the beach. Most of these birds I did not catch up with but am reporting on behalf of others. NE winds are supposed to blow tomorrow as well. Just an FYI Cheryl Edgecombe
