Observation end time: 16:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Olga Klekner

Observers: Claude Radley, Jeanice Seals, Karen Padbury, Phyllis Coble

Visitors:
The tower's earliest visitors were Phyllis Coble and Jeanece Seals from
Tennessee. Later Claude Radley, Georgia Reid, Karen Padbury and Mike and
Jill O'Hearn joined us. Thank you Claude for your expertise and Karen for
counting vultures. Phyllis and Jeanece, what great excitement we shared
today! Thank you all.

Weather:
As the day progressed, the fairly clear sky turned completely cloudy.
Mostly East, Northeast winds throughout the day. Temperatures were between
6.9 and 12.2 degrees Celsius. Drizzle turned into a short period of light
rain in the afternoon.

Observations:
A slow beginning turned into a spectacular raptor day, showcasing 5 Golden
Eagles, many kettles of Turkey Vultures, Red Tails and Red-shouldered
Hawks flying through in groups, and 4 Rough-legged Hawks.

6580 Crows, 2350 Red-winged Blackbirds were counted in the morning. Few
Blue Jays and occasional clouds of Starlings winged by in the already loud
sky.

Predictions:
High temperature 12 degrees Celsius. Mostly cloudy with winds from the
North at 12 miles/hr.
