Good day Ontbirds people, Yesterday, March 13, at ~ 3:30 PM our Region 24 Breeding Bird Atlas coordinator Christine Hanrahan found a Boreal Owl along the recreational trail (abandoned rail line) that runs between Dwyer Hill Rd. and Jinkinson Side Rd. The owl was about 1 km. west along the trail from Jinkinson Side Rd. on the north side sitting in a tree, quite visible from the trail. Christine states that she watched it for about 20 minutes and it was still there when she left.
DIRECTIONS: From Ottawa, take Hwy 417 west, then exit #145 onto Hwy 7 towards Carleton Place. Jinkinson Side Rd. runs south from Hwy 7. Good birds to all, Chris Lewis Ottawa [EMAIL PROTECTED]
