Here's the sightings for this past week.again sorry it's a bit late, the internet connection here has been down/extra slow.
Veery Hermit thrush Black throated green warbler Sandhill cranes (rather active!) Ruffed grouse (drumming) Common nighthawk Yellow warblers Common yellowthroat Raven Ovenbirds Eastern wood peewee Northern oriole American bittern Scarlet tanager pair (my first time seeing them.amazing birds!!!) Wood thrush Marsh wrens Least bittern (calling) Black terns Caspian tern Barn swallow Tree swallow Also, we've been getting a lot of calls in from people describing indigo buntings at their feeders.this has been happening quite a bit, numbers on the rise perhaps? I've also noticed a lot more northern orioles around and more calling, as well as people calling us and describing them to us as well.
