Yesterday Dec. 14 while driving on coutny rd 13. just north of the village of
Kimberly, I saw a large black bird being harassed by a crow. The crow was
dwarfed by this other bird so I got out of my truck and found the bird in
question was an immature Golden Eagle! The crow left and the eagle banked and
turned our way and flew right over us, giving a great look, back dropped
against a clear blue sky.

Kimberly is on county road 13 about 25 km south of hwy. 26 at Thornbury (which
is about half way between Collingwood and Meaford). The bird was seen just
north of Beaver Valley ski club.
