This afternoon I stopped to watch a few hundred Geese in a Flooded Field on the 10th Sideroad of Innisfil, north of Hwy 89.There were no Ducks to be seen, aSingle Trumpeter with Tag(Number unread) and 3 Snow Geese. 2 of the Snows were White Phase and the third a Dark Phase. After a few minutes of watching about half of the Flock lifted off and headed North. The Snow Geese went with this Group. Hwy400 to 89 ,East to the 10th Sideroad.North about 1 and1/2 miles. Fields are flooded on both sides of the Road(Onion Fields). The 10th Sideroad becomes Huronia Road in Barrie!

It has been in this area for about a month and a half. It is sometimes harassed by ring-billed gulls. Elizabeth Kellogg, with support from Roger Frost, gave an excellent presentation about bird banding.
