This afternoon I stopped to watch a few hundred Geese in a Flooded Field on the
10th Sideroad of Innisfil, north of Hwy 89.There were no Ducks to be seen,
aSingle Trumpeter with Tag(Number unread) and 3 Snow Geese. 2 of the Snows were
White Phase and the third a Dark Phase.
After a few minutes of watching about half of the Flock lifted off and headed
North. The Snow Geese went with this Group.

  Hwy400 to 89 ,East to the 10th Sideroad.North about 1 and1/2 miles. Fields
are flooded on both sides of the Road(Onion Fields). The 10th Sideroad becomes
Huronia Road in Barrie!

Last night, at the regular monthly meeting of the
Willow Beach Field Naturalist Club in Cobourg, it was
reported that the laughing gull is still being seen in
Cobourg Harbour. It has been in this area for about a
month and a half. It is sometimes harassed by
ring-billed gulls.

Elizabeth Kellogg, with support from Roger Frost, gave
an excellent presentation about bird banding.
