I have been informed that over the last couple of weeks dead birds have been
showing up on the beach in Southampton, and also on the beaches in Port
Elgin. I am assuming that this is probably the cause of botullism that has
affected birds along Lake Ontario, and Lake Erie. If anyone has any ideas
what might be happening then please get in touch with me at my personal
e-mail shown below.
I went out yesterday to look for myself and found two Long-tailed Ducks on
the beach, one dead and the other in a lot of discomfort. The other bird I
found yesterday was a dead Common Loon.
This morning I found Long-tailed Duck did not survive the night as I found
it dead this morning.
