After dipping this early cold morning on these two birds, I returned about 2:15 p.m and found the two Cattle Egrets directly across Hwy 5 from the cattle farm a few km west of Peters Corners (intersection of Hwys 5 & 8) in west Hamilton (south of Rockton)where they were found on the weekend by Rob Dobos. They were walking amongst the horses on the farm. Something spooked the gulls and the Egrets and when they flushed they flew over to the Yellow Briar Farm at the NE corner ofWoodhill Rd and Hwy 5 and were hanging around with the cattle in the barnyard. To see them, turn north from Hwy 5 onto Woodhill Rd, and go only about a hundred feet or so and pull over on the right shoulder at the top of the knoll where you can get fully off the road.
