Weather:
Sunny conditions prevailed throughout the day with an extensive swathe of
high cirrus being the main cloud cover for the day. Winds were moderate and
gusty varying from the west-southwest to southwest.

Raptor Observations:
After a very slow start to the flight there was a substantial pulse of
birds during the late morning and early afternoon hours, tapering off
fairly quickly after that point. Another decent TV and Red-tail movement
was highlighted by another good push of Golden Eagles and two Rough-legged
Hawks. Incidentally, the second Cooper’s Hawk tallied today was the 12
thousandth in the watch’s history.

Non-raptor Observations:
Tree Swallows continue to migrate in the hundreds with a single Barn
Swallow noted today as well. For the second day in a row, three Sandhill
Cranes flew by.
