There was a slight haze particularly at the horizon that limited the visibility somewhat. Winds were light to moderate southwest becoming moderate from the south at midday. Raptor Observations: With the southerly flow, almost the entire flight was to the north. Overall the migration was not too bad given the conditions but a bit slow in contrast to the last few very good days. Non-raptor Observations: While Pine Siskins have been migrating through in small to medium-sized groups on a daily basis of late, a fly-over Common Redpoll was particularly noteworthy today. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Calvin Brennan ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) SMRR- Lake Erie Metropark information may be found at: http://www.smrr.net/ _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
