At around 1:30 this afternoon, I spotted a Sharp-Shinned Hawk, perched low in a tree at the entrance to a parking lot in front of an industrial Plaza on Saint David St in Lindsay. I drove into the parking lot. turned around to have a closer look and parked directly in front of the tree to get a better view. It glared at me as if to say, "get lost, this is my spot" and had no intention of moving. I sat and watched it for a good five minutes.
Directions: Take Lindsay Street north to Queen Street, east on Queen Street to Saint David Street, north on Saint David to a small industrial plaza at #184. It was perched in the big tree to the right of the south entrance, looking toward the south side of the building. Happy birding, Judy Kennedy. _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
