The Chuck-will's-widow frequently sang last night, Monday, June 28
from 9:13 p.m. at least until the time I left.. 9:40. It was in the
woodlot on the south side of Doyle fairly close to the west end of the
woods. Over time, it moved to the east in at least 3 "hops" until it
was nearly at the east end of the woods.

Directions

From Kirkfield take Kawartha Lakes Road 48 about 4.4 km east to Kawartha
Lakes Road 35 also called Victoria Road. Turn left, north, for about 4.4 km
to Doyle Road on right and go about 1km. If you reach the first sharp
bend to the left you have gone too far. Best spot is approx 200 metres
south of the bend. If coming from south end of Wylie
Road, take McNamee to the end at Kawartha Lakes Road 35. Turn right south
for .5 km to Doyle Road and turn left. Go about 1 km.
