Visiting family east of Ottawa yesterday I came across two large flocks of
Snow Geese near St-Isidore. A flock of about 5000 was by Cty Rd 9 north of
St-Isidore and just south of Lalonde. The other flock of about 2000 was west
of St-Isidore on the south side of Concession Rd 17. To get to St-Isidore
exit north from Hwy 417 at exit 51.

Incidentally the "Ottawa Citizen" front page today shows a photo of a large
flock of Snow Geese supposedly taken near Casselman. However the hills in
the background look suspiciously like those at Cap Tormente near Quebec City
(the Casselman area is dead flat) and moreover the write-up talks about
taking the pictures from Hwy 138 which is the road into Cap Tormente.
