Hello Ontbirders,
Things have quietted down this week but there is still some excitement at Long
Point with the second SPOTTED TOWHEE of the fall showing up. This third record
for Long Point is a male and was found by George and Pat Finney visiting their
feeders earlier this week. It has been a regular at the feeders since,
including today. They are being kind enough to allow birders to visit their
house to see the bird this weekend. The house is # 1024 hwy 59, just south of
the esso station and the coop and neighbours restaurants. You can easily view
the feeders by going around the north (left if you are looking at the house
from the road) side of the garage. There should be no need to get too close to
the feeders as there is an unobstructed view from here. There are plenty of
other birds (including a male and female Eastern Towhee) to keep you interested
if you are waiting but it has been pretty reliable most of the week. Please
respect the privacy of the neighbours and be mindful of the busy road.

Directions:
From simcoe take hwy 24 south to hwy 59. Turn left (south) and follow this
just past the turn off for Port Rowan (there is an esso gas station here). The
house is the second on the left # 1024 with Finney on the mailbox
