Ontbirders: A hardy group of Hamilton winter listers were pleased to find the Wilson's Phalarope still present in the first cell at Blenheim Lagoons this morning. Thanks to Jim Burke for noting it in the sightings book this morning at 7:30. The bird was sheltered from the brisk wind in the grassy edge and could easily have been overlooked. Lagoon Directions: Exit 401 at #90 (Communications Rd.) and head to Blenheim. At the main stoplight turn right (west) onto Rd. 3. Travel about 1.5 km and turn right (north) onto Lagoon Rd., at the car wash, and continue north about 1 km to gate.
