Please refer to Joyce Collier-Brown's May 5 report; among Thickson
birds to add to her list- - WHITE-CROWNED SPARROW, RUBY-THROATED
HUMMINGBIRD, BLUE-HEADED VIREO and the oft-seen and heard GREAT HORNED
OWL.
Birders look forward to the predicted south wind, perhaps on the morrow.

It is great to see many birders viewing and pointing out Thickson's
flowering plants, such as White Trillium, Red Trillium, Trout Lily,
Bloodroot, Marsh Marigold, May-apple and our favourite shrub-Daphne
with its beautiful 4-sepalled pinky-purple flowers.

For directions to Whitby's Pelee, namely Thickson's Woods--see Joyce's report.
