This morning (Canada Day), I stumbled across a Brant at Riverain Park in Ottawa.

The goose was feeding on grass near the bike path. It looked ratty
and, upon closer inspection, it hissed and revealed that it had an
injured left leg.

It's in a spot where people feed the ducks a lot, so it might do okay
if the heat doesn't get it.
