I saw the Purple Gallinule at 9:45  this morning Wednesday at north end
(away from lake) near phragmites.

Directions:
Take the QEW to exit 44 - Niagara St.  Go north on Niagara to Lakeshore.
Turn right and cross the canal, then make the first left.  Stay along the
canal and park at the gate. The walk out is quite far (about a km).  Go to
the 'pond' on the east side.  To do this, take the trail that goes off the
right side of the main trail.  This trail eventually goes along the east
side of the pond between the pond and the lake.  Look to your left along
the southern edge of the pond.  The bird may be obscured by phragmites and
may not be visible at all.

Good birding!
