Because it's so late, this is more a test than a sighting report.
I originally tried sending this twice on Tuesday and it was returned
as undeliverable, the same thing happened Wednesday.
Hopefully the problem has been resolved.
Shortly after 8 AM Tuesday, Dec. 13 I saw what I thought at first
glance was a Bobwhite walking across our lawn toward the bird feeders.
But, this bird had an orange beak which a Bobwhite does not and also
somewhat different colouring than a Bobwhite.
Used the ID wizard on my birding software to narrow it down
and it was definitely a Chukar. Possibly escaped from a game farm?

Ross.
