The return to seasonable weather has turned up some great birds. This
afternoon around 3PM, we found a FOS scarlet tanager at the entrance to
Charlottenburgh Park on Highway #2 just west of Lancaster, On. The breeding
plumage male put on a great show in the trees on the the east side of the road
just past the locked gate.
This morning at our home on Peter St. in Cornwall, we had our first
rose-breasted grosbeaks along with a pair of male white-crowned sparrows. It
was wonderful to hear them singing in the yard. Bob Scranton
