Four surf scoters were spotted in the St. Lawrence River this afternoon by Hans VanderZweep and myself, just off MacDonnell Island in the Long Sault Parkway. MacDonnell Island is reached easiest by coming in the Long Sault entrance. Go over two bridges and you are on MacDonnel. We also had a red-necked grebe further west on the Parkway.
