Hi Ontbirders:

Late this afternoon, I had the pleasure to watch about 3 dozen Snow Buntings in
the Shirley's Bay area. They were very cooperative allowing close-up looks.
They would occasionally fly off whenever a pair of jet-skis came roaring by.
However, the buntings would fly back and eventually got accustomed to them. I
must admit it felt a bit out of place to be watching a flock of snow buntings
while the temperature outside was so balmy for a Fall day in Ottawa. Happy
birding.

Shirley's Bay is down Rifle Road off Carling (in and around the area famous for
the recent Tufted Duck)
