Stopped at the pond in Kitchener-Waterloo this afternoon (2:30pm) at
Ira Needles and Highland.
Loafing with the Ring-bills and Herring Gulls were 2 adult and 1
juvenile Lesser Black-backed Gulls.
Also 3 juvenile Great Black-backs were present in the crowd.

Making my way to MOUNTSBERG after that (3:30pm), I found the male
EURASIAN WIGEON Len reported the other day.
I saw it from the west side, though the east side may have given a
closer vantage.
It was feeding out in the middle with a mixed flock of ducks and
coots. It gave great looks in the lovely afternoon sun as it moved
about feeding.

The reservoir was alive with lots of other birds, incl many Coots,
American Wigeon, Redheads, Ruddy Ducks, Gadwall, many Hooded
Mergansers, scattered Bufflehead, a few Common Goldeneye, 1 Common
Loon, 3 Horned Grebes, 1 Pied-billed Grebe, 1 Red-necked Grebe and 1
Eared Grebe. 3 black-billed swans were present, with no visible tags
and I believe they were TUNDRA SWANS, though they were far off on the
other side of the reservoir and I cannot be 100% certain they weren't
Trumpeters.

One last stop after that - I gave a quick check of Islay Lake,
Burlington - west of Guelph Line on south side of Derry Rd (NW of
Lowville).. there were Ruddy Ducks, Hooded Mergs, Buffleheads and
Scaup feeding here, and 1 CACKLING GOOSE was present in a small flock
of Canada Geese.
