Hi Ontario birders.
An adult Ross' Gull was found to-day at the base of the rapids, seen from the
marina in Chambly, Québec, in company of Bonaparte Gulls.
It was seen flying away later in the day, but observers say that at that point
the other gulls had also left and that the Bonaparte Gulls have been returning
to the same area every day in recent days. So they think the Ross' Gull might
return to the same area tomorrow.
Langis Sirois, Ottawa
PS Directions: no specific directions were given on the Quebec forum, but the
marina mentioned appears to be on avenue Bourgogne at the south-east end of the
lake. To reach that spot, from Ontario, either from the 401 or the 417, take
highway 30 and exit at highway 112. Go in the East direction on highway 112
through Carignan, continue on boul de Perigny to boul Fréchette. Turn left on
Fréchette then right on Bougogne.
