Hi birders, My Dad and I birded the Pelee area today, with some good birds. Highlights below:
Cattle Egret - we found the same bird seen earlier in the week at Lighthouse Cove, perched along the Thames River ( http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S20201890) Hudsonian Godwit - continuing bird at the cannery ponds, north of Comber Long-billed Dowitcher - 1 bird with the Godwit, among 10 shorebird species present (http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S20201942) We did a hawk watch along the lake from 12:30-3pm, about a kilometre SW of Seacliff and had a good flight, with the following seen ( http://ebird.org/ebird/view/checklist?subID=S20202105): Turkey vulture 2410 Osprey 1 Sharp-shinned Hawk 13 Cooper's Hawk 3 Bald Eagle 1 Red-shouldered Hawk 1 Broad-winged Hawk 10 Red-tailed Hawk 38 A.
