This is more of a 'head's-up' for birders in this area and south of us; but
around 9am this morning, my Dad and I had a female/young Evening Grosbeak
on my parents yard. We watched the bird for about 10 minutes, before it
took off in a SE direction. For much of the observation we watched the bird
eat a bunch of Manitoba Maple keys.

For interest sake, the last time I observed this species in SW Ontario was
November 2012.
