Three Buff-breasted Sandpipers were feeding in "mostly-cut" sod field in an
area with a network of very shallow femoral ponds with a small
flock of Lesser Yellowlegs and 2 Killdeer. Although scoped from about 70
meters I had flat lighting and could clearly see the diagnostic field
marks: buffy front of body including neck, lower face and over the eyes and
bill; bright yellow legs; highly spotted sides of chest; buffy scaling of
black upper and lower scapulars; wing length even with end of tail; thin,
straight bill. This area is one side-road east from the area most birders
cover when birding this area. There are several cutting machines parked
near the road and some further back where shorebirds were feeding. The
exact co-ordinate are posted on e.bird. The location is south east of
the intersection of 11th Line and Sideroad 15 and 4.3 km ne of Beeton.

Directions from Toronto: take Hwy. 400 north to exit #64 (Hwy. #88); take
Hwy. #88 west to Bond Head; turn north on Hwy. 27 to 8th Line and drive
west toward Beeton; exit north on 10th Side Road and drive 4 km and stop at
Intersection with 11th line (the field is to the south east).
