Two godwits foraging at the north end of the pond at Garden Hill
Conservation Area. The fairly large habitat is excellent here if looking for
other species. Looks like the water level was recently dropped, judging by
the muck.

These two birds are both very light rufous and grey with faint markings on
their backs and parked wings, dark flight feathers and tail protruding at
the rear. Faint eyeline and pronounced white-ish supercillium; slightly
upturned, long, orange and black bill.

Considering the time now, my guess is they'll still be there in the morning.
You'll want a scope for best views, though binos/cam will work in a pinch.

Directions: North west of Port Hope in between HWY 28 and 115, Garden Hill
CA is on the north side of County Road 9 one kilometer west of the
intersection with CR-10. Park and walk into the wooded peninsula past the
boarded up blue building. There is an bit of a terrain hazard to climb
down/up through in the form of a sharp gouge from erosion.
