The total species reported for the three-day OFO Convention at Point Pelee and nearby areas (October 2-4) currently stands at 184 species. This beats the previous record-high convention total of 178 species at Presqu'ile (2012) and Point Pelee (2013).
Noteworthy species included: Eared Grebe, Golden Eagle, Black-legged Kittiwake, Sabine's Gull, Laughing Gull, Pomarine Jaeger, Parasitic Jaeger, Hooded Warbler and Nelson's Sparrow. Total species reported for each of the following are shown in parentheses: ducks (21), shorebirds (21), gulls (9), warblers (21) and sparrows (10).
