Observation start time: 09:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 6 hours

Official Counter: Dustin Brewer

Observers: Don Sherwood, Rosemary Brady

Visitors:
We had a few people stop by the count site very briefly, but Johannes was
the only one who stayed and scanned the sky with us.

Weather:
A layer of frost covered the picnic table, which is the center of our count
operation, this morning. Clear skies persisted all day, and because we were
blocked from the south and west winds, spending time at the count site was
very pleasant weather-wise. Barometric pressure was dropping again today.

Raptor Observations:
The sky was lonely. Only four migrating raptors were observed, including a
Cooper's Hawk, two Red-tailed Hawks, and a Golden Eagle. All of these birds
were distant. Unfortunately, the flight line was considerably north of us
today.

Non-raptor Observations:
A Tundra Swan, 26 Horned Larks, and a Scaup were spotted today.

Predictions:
Winds will have a southerly component, and rain may fall on us beginning
during the early afternoon. A big day for raptor migration would be a
pleasant surprise.
