With snow gone and the final ice disappearing from lagoons, geese have moved further north for the most part. The best chance for seeing flocks is on the sod farm at Lafleche Rd, 5 km east of Casselman off Hwy 417. Exit at Hwy 138, the exit for Cornwall. There were between 5-10,000 there this afternoon. Check the floodplain on Cty Rd 9, 5 minutes north of St. Isidore as well as the Cobb's Lake Creek floodplain east of Bourget. I have not heard any reports from the east end of Ottawa off Milton Rd or Frank Kenney.
To the west, check the lagoons at Winchester. That is where you can expect the largest number of Lesser Snow Geese (with a large percentage of blues compared with the few in Greater flocks).
