In the past week reports have come in about flocks in four areas. None are very large, a few thousand for each sighting but still worth checking.
*Lancaster waterfront* - Today a flock appeared along the river west of South Lancaster for a while. The birds may feed in fields of harvested corn northeast of Lancaster. Also check the river off South Service Road 5 km east of South Lancaster at Westleys Point. Earlier in the week they were seen at Green Valley along Cty Rd 34 in the morning but not the afternoon. *Embrun sewage lagoons (*south of Embrun along route 400) *and Moose Creek lagoons *(northeast of town along 8th Rd) - flocks at both. When not near or on the water they are in fields of harvested corn. *Winchester *- a flock is near the lagoons (either the lagoons in town or the municipal lagoons outside town off Ottawa Street). When not near or on the water they are in nearby fields of harvested corn.
