That isn't what you did. Please have the courtesy of being honest with everyone, including yourself. If you had said "I've been working on this new product, we have sold a bunch, it's especially useful for this type of situation and it's saved us a lot of pain" I can *assure* you that there would not have been ANY negative response. You even posted to the -biz list, which is the exact right place to post. However, you did not do this. You posted as if you were a random Asterisk user who had happened upon this product. You then furthered the deception by continuing to act as if you were just a customer. You didn't come clean until I asked you specifically. That, Justin, is where the source of the flack is coming from. You (on purpose or not) attempted to deceive us. Again -- You've created a device and from a "plug it in and go" perspective, it rocks. You're local. That rocks even more. You are willing to entertain ideas on making the product better. That's fantastic. Seriously, a local guy who's got a product and we can possibly extend it? Hell, if we're ever at a TAUG meeting in the future I'd love to discuss details of this and other products/projects with you. I wanted to make clear, though, what caused all of this consternation.
