Jim, understand where you're coming from, however, I actually found the post a
tad offensive. Charles I know you were only trying to keep it light hearted but
it came across to me as extremely condescending. Good luck finding your Girl
Friday.

This is an Asterisk business list, so if the business you are posting about is
not relating to Asterisk, this is not the place for it.

There are many of us in this group who are involved in all sorts of business;
if we are now going to use this list for whatever we want, its value to the
Asterisk community will quickly diminish.

If it is not Asterisk (or VoIP) business, it has no business here.

Regards,

Jim

Subject: [biz] Exchange / Windows / Unix Work Opportunities

  Greetings!

It occurred to me after seeing Reza’s post, this could actually be a great
forum to seek out the unique.

My first priority is to recruit someone with an exchange background and
preferably someone who is comfortable with Exchange 2003. BES experience would
be an asset. This role would be part-time as needed with no guaranteed hours. I
would need you to be available during the day where you may receive a support
request by phone, by ticket or through your PDA if you use one. It’s likely
that you would only need to do your support through a VPN, but there is always
the chance of an onsite visit. You could be assigned to projects that may offer
you full time work for a couple of weeks depending on project size. A friendly
personality is equally as valuable as your knowledge!

I’m also looking for junior to senior techs with either Windows Client /
Server or Unix experience (ok this may sound redundant in this forum) for
part-time work. Principal understanding and a friendly personality is more
important to me than hearing you babble about your paper certifications. Also,
it would be nice if you owned a tie.

Unix experience in a hosting environment is preferred (Direct Admin, H-sphere
CPs).

If you are kept busy enough, you will get perks like a PDA, things that will
make you smart, opportunity to touch a Commodore SX64 in pristine condition, or
to hug our Making IT Work girl!

Resumes and pay expectations are helpful. If you drive, mention it.

  Work is within the GTA.

  Kind regards,

  /Charles
