We've been doing secondary for a couple years now, 5.99/USD per domain in
bulk (100 domains) per year. All your domains get mirrored by all four
of our nameservers, (2 X Toronto, 1 in Texas, 1 in England)
All of our nameservers are in co-location facilities which themselves
have multiple connections to the internet. All nameservers add new
domains every 15 minutes, change the master primary on-the-fly, and
you can force a reload individually or on all four.
All from our handy dandy web interface that also lets you see what
the DNS cache looks like on our end.
Many outfits use this solution as their primary DNS cluster, not
publishing their primary at all and just listing our nameservers
in their delegations.
