Guys, guys... lets not get carried away here. What I believe Charles meant
to say is that a domain is not transferable while it is expired (i.e. before
you pay the next year fee). Actually, a domain is always transferrable
unless deleted altogether. All you have to do is pay the outstanding fee
(i.e. the next year fee) to the old registrar and then you can transfer it
at your leasure.
