Well, the simplest is to just set up your web server to return given data for any othewrise-unconfigured domain. I do a similar thing on my virtual server where I host many domains; try http://virtual.zygoat.ca. For fun, set up a CNAME for bogus.bargainempire.com to point to 66.11.168.214, punch it in to your browser, and watch my server greet you with "welcome to bogus.bargainempire.com". With apache, it's almost easier to set this up by accident than it is to actually configure a domain: just set up NameVirtualHost for your IP address, then specify a valid <VirtualHost> ... </> section (making sure it is the FIRST one in the conf file for that IP address), and any non- matching virtual host sent to that IP will use it. -ben -- Ben Kennedy, chief magician zygoat creative technical services 613-228-3392 | 1-866-466-4628 http://www.zygoat.ca
