I use sweet cobb to get my flock in every night. I just bought these sheep and had to teach them but it took only a few days. It works every time. There are some people who raise sheep in So Cal, maybe you could visit someone and see how they are set up. That's how I figured out what I wanted. Look at the sheep handling set up at premier's website. You can see a lot about how sheep like to be moved. Also Temple Grandin has a good website on animal handling, mostly cows but it's basically the same. I had an 8 foot alley once and it was really useful for catching sheep. I used half a hog panel for gates and could make any size pen I needed, 8' and as long as I needed. Lissa
