Hello all,
I have 2 ewes that are due to lamb this month. I'm getting curious as to when that will be. What should I be watching for to let me know lambing is imminent? They both already have good sized bags of milk, about the size of a large cantaloupe or honey-dew melon. This is my first lambing.
We had 2 sows give birth this year and I noticed that the teats separately filled with milk the morning they delivered, it was like you could see the areas where the teats were get bigger like putting oranges on the melon. Will I see that on the ewes too?
I'm getting some emergency equipment this weekend, like stomach tubing, colostrum and milk replacer. What else should I have on hand? What else do I need to know?
