Mary, We are curious as to what you get for already bred ewes since you get
$100.00 for adult ewes aged 9 months plus. We recently sold some adult ewes
and told the buyer that they " should " be bred - we didn't guarantee it -
just said they should be. 2 of the 3 he bought lambed already but the 3rd
one hasn't. He feels he was cheated cause he paid $100.00 a piece for ewes
that were 1 1/2 yrs.old. All 3 of these ewes lambed this spring and we gave
him 8 to choose from. Have we done anything wrong? There is no way to
guarantee a ewe is bred without a vet test and he didn't ask for that. We
have one here that didn't lamb this fall with the rest of them either - at
least that we know of. That does happen now and then doesn't it? That a ewe
will get "missed " by the ram. Just curious.
