There are several research studies underway that are trying to determine if 
disease resistance and worm resiliance are genetic. People have felt for a 
long time that it is genetic because the BB sheep pass these traits to 
their offspring, even when crossbred. But a good study that can isolate the 
gene would be a tremendous.

Areas that do not get a killing frost and are humid and wet have more worm 
problems than dry, cold areas like Colorado. That is why it is so important 
to take routine fecals.
