Sue,
Thanks for the feed back. I am not clear as to why he thinks he should get 1/2 the price of that sheep refunded to him. An adult sheep that is pregnant or exposed and does not have a lamb, how does he come up with 1/2 the price? Did you double the price of the ewe because she was pregnant? (I know you did not but I am trying to get you to see the logic. If you doubled the price of the sheep because she was pregnant then I can see refunding him 1/2 the price back to him solely because you are a nice person. I do not think you are obligated to refund him anything.) You might not want to do this but here is another suggestion. If ALL the sheep he brought from you are still healthy tell him you will give him all his money back if he gives you all the sheep back including the new born lambs. If he does not want to do that then he gets what he has for the price he paid. Even if you guarantee that the sheep are pregnant and you told me that you stated that you did NOT, does not mean the sheep will not abort the lamb at his place or that the lamb will come out alive. Good luck and let me know how things come out. Don't let this spoil your holiday season. There are scrooges everywhere if you know what I mean.
