Hello Chris, Sorry to hear about your lost. I have a friend who raises goats and he had several kids taken by foxes. Though, with my friend the foxes always seemed to take his best kids.
He has a barn and during kidding season he brings all the does and kids in the barn at night. I do not have the luxury and I do not know your farms situation. Other suggestions are to set leg traps. Make sure your animals can not get into the traps. Also the Animal Control in my area will let you borrow a cage trap so you might want to check in your area about the same. Still pretty wobbly but was getting around pretty good. Apparently not good enough though. As we drove in from the movies last nite we spotted a fox running across the pasture. Since we hadn't ever lost a lamb except during birthing(momma and lambs both eaten), we didn't worry about it too much. The sheep always come into the pasture right in front of the house and bed down at night. Of course, this is the same pasture we saw the fox in. Anyway, this morning wobbles is gone. Mother is bleating. I figure the fox got it. Natural selection at work I guess, thanks for the help though.
