I have three ram lambs on the ground and my friend has decided to keep one for her flock sire. Can any of you give me ideas on how to decided witch one would be the best to keep as a ram? (besides the obvious breed standards) Would anyone be interested in letting me send them pictures of each to critique?
Second question, My friends daughter will be showing one of my ewe lambs at our county fair this May. I am very excited. I believe this will be the first barb shown at the Calaveras county fair. I have five ewe lambs to pick from. Can any of you give some pointers on how to pick the best one. And how should I go at getting her fit for show? I keep my sheep well fed however it seems show animals are always much more heavier then the average animal. And if anyone is interested in looking at Pictures of the ewes also to critique please let me know.
